ROME: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, is taking part in an international forum on peace hosted by the Italian capital, Rome.
The event will conclude on Tuesday with the participation of leaders, religious scholars and representatives of more than 40 countries.
The minister of endowments and religious affairs said that the participation of the Sultanate of Oman affirms its approach and endeavours to disseminate the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence all over the world, noting that His Majesty the Sultan attaches his Royal attention to these common human values and the spread of peace and coexistence among nations.
The meeting hosted by the city of Rome aims to bolster common human values in light of the ongoing turmoil in international relations, the minister said, explaining that the Sultanate of Oman has always called for this approach based on harmony and coexistence among nations and finding common ground for people to live together peacefully and on the basis of the exchange of benefits and common interests. — ONA
