French unions will decide later on Tuesday if they will maintain strikes at major French refineries, which could mean further fuel shortages at petrol stations across the country. The strike has lasted three weeks already. Tuesday's vote will decide if it will be continued or partially or completely ended, broadcaster BFMTV reported. At least one type of fuel was sold out at about 28 per cent of the petrol stations, and several petrol stations temporarily closed altogether. The government has already called in striking staff at several occasions to avoid shortages. -- dpa
