NU’s VC holds meeting with Student Advisory Council

MUSCAT: Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Science and Technology, held the 1st meeting with the Student Advisory Council on Thursday, in its fourth session at the university level for the academic year 2022-2023. The meeting was attended by D. Salim bin Khamis al Araimi, DVC, Dr Talal bin Mohamed al Balushi, Head of the External Relations and Strategic Alliances Office, Lamiaa Salem Ghanim al Rawas, Deputy Director of Student Affairs and Head of the Elections Committee, and members of the Student Advisory Council, which consists of 16 students from the university’s 4 colleges, as well as representatives from the School of Foundation Studies.


Dr Ali al Bimani welcomed the members of the Council and emphasised their effective and important key role in developing the work and upgrading the level of students’ scientific, cultural, social, sports, artistic and other aspects of constructive activities, in addition to consolidating the values of volunteerism in a way that supports voluntary charitable projects and works and community service.


The NU’s VC also urged the Council's students to make more efforts and effectiveness in the activities of the Student Council, as they represent all the students at the University.


During the meeting, Wahaj al Houti, Head of the Student Advisory Council, expressed the readiness of the members of the Student Advisory Council to provide all aspects of support to their fellow students, represent them well, and play the role assigned to them to the fullest.
