MUSCAT: An App called Fascano, launched by two Omani students — Ahmed al Kharousi and Maarak al Maeraki — has raised more than $1 million. Fascano provides easy solutions in the hospitality and food sectors.

The two students invested in the electronic application that they designed during their studies in the Netherlands, where they established a company after their return to the Sultanate of Oman. In its first year, the @fascano_om app received more than one million online order transactions and its market value is currently estimated at $1.2 million.

The app is currently heading to cover important aspects in other sectors and is expanding further in the Netherlands, the European Union and other countries in the future.
