HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received Dr. Bisher al Khasawneh, the Jordanian Prime Minister on Wednesday and discussed bilateral cooperation and a number of regional and international issues.
The meeting reviewed efforts to support security and stability in the region to achieve further development and prosperity for its people.
On the visit of the Jordanian monarch to the Sultanate of Oman at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, HH Sayyid Fahd praised this visit and added that its positive results will benefit the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, Al Khasawneh and his accompanying delegation also praised the positive aspects of visitors and exchanged views on many matters, praised the positions of the Sultanate of Oman on issues facing the region and its balanced relations with all countries of the world, which earned it the trust and respect of all.
He expressed their admiration for the developmental achievements made by the Sultanate of Oman in many fields.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sheikh Al-Fadl bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Saeed bin Muhammad al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousuf, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, Abdul Salam bin Muhammad bin Abdullah al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority and Sheikh Hilal bin Marhoon al Maamari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On the Jordanian side, it was attended by Ayman al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, and Ambassador Amjad al Qahwi, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Sultanate of Oman.
