Muscat: The Ministry of Education (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Education in Muscat has ordered schools to close early on Tuesday in the wilayats of Al Seeb, Bausher, Muscat, Al Amerat, and Muttrah.

Evening schools will be closed only in Amerat and Seeb on Tuesday.

The new timings should be taken into consideration by school transport operators so that students are not inconvenienced.

Pickup should be done by 11.30 am for students whose parents transport them in their own cars.

During the day on Tuesday, vehicles will not be permitted to pull over on both sides of the Sultan Qaboos road between the Burj Al Sahwa roundabout and the Wilayat of Muscat, Royal Oman Police said in a tweet.

King Abdallah II of the Kingdom of Jordan will begin an official two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court on Sunday.
