Muscat: Omani exports insured with Credit Oman to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) grew by 105% during the first half of 2022 and stood at RO 35.4 million as against their value during the corresponding period last year (RO 17.3 million).


Sales of the construction sector's exports took the lead, comprising RO 22.4 million of the total, followed by the foodstuff sector (RO 8.8 million), in addition to the mining, packaging, agricultural materials, chemicals and petrochemicals sectors.


Credit Oman and the UAE government’s National Export Credit Company signed in 2019 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance trade and economic cooperation between and the UAE.
