Prominent Omani logistics firm Al Madina Logistics Services Company (AMLS) signed a long-term agreement for cold chain storage and logistics with Oman Fisheries Company SAOG, the Sultanate of Oman’s largest and oldest fish processing company.

The agreement provides Oman Fisheries with multi-temperature on-demand storage and handling at multiple AMLS distribution centres, as well as value-added services and inland transportation.

“AMLS has had a long and fruitful partnership with the Fisheries sector, a fast-growing industry which is a contributor to Oman’s economy and GDP; from facilitating inspections, clearance, and storage for fisheries companies since 2014 at Muscat Container Depot (Oman’s first dry port established 2010), to our partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in launching the Sohar Logistics Hub in 2022,” said Mahmood Sakhi al Balushi, Group CEO of AMLS.

“We are honoured to continue this trend with Oman Fisheries Company, a well-known household name that plays a definitive role in the fisheries sector and one of the largest exporters of Omani Fish to over 55 countries worldwide.”

Suleiman al Ghannami, Chief Executive of Oman Fisheries Company, stated: “With the growth of Oman Fisheries Company, we look forward to working with strong solution-oriented partners. Al Madina Logistics has built a highly reputed brand that brings multi-faceted experience and expertise in cold chain logistics and a total solution that enhances Oman Fisheries’ ability to deliver to its customers worldwide.”
