

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in cooperation with Oman Post, is launching document authentication services at postal outlets in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman
To start with the services will start at Oman Post headquarters at Airport Heights in Muscat, and then expanding it to all Oman Post branches in all governorates.
Mohammed bin Nasser al Wahaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, said that the Ministry, represented by its Consular Department, aims to provide services through Oman Post, taking into account the various circumstances of the beneficiary, including the difficulties in accessing the attestation offices at in the ministry’s general office as well as branches in various governorates.
The new decision will help improve the services of attesting documents of citizens and residents.
The services will include the attestation of educational certificates, medical certificates, certificates of corporate project plans, certificates of use of military equipment, death certificates, and attestation of agencies, contracts and commercial invoices, contracts, agencies and civil certificates, termination of consular procedures by attesting documents related to other government or private agencies, and the services of accredited embassies in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Ministry seeks to provide a high-quality service in a short time to facilitate procedures and to keep pace with the national policy of according priority to
governance and decentralization system.
In addition, providing document authentication services at Oman Post branches will help finalize transactions in one location.
