HM offers condolences to British Royal family

LONDON: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik offered his condolences to King Charles III of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth, and Camilla, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, and members of the British Royal family, on the death of Queen Elizabeth II, when they received His Majesty the Sultan at Buckingham Palace, on Sunday evening.

His Majesty expressed his heart-felt condolences and sympathy on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, affirming that the Sultanate of Oman is standing by the United Kingdom.


His Majesty also expressed his sincere greetings and best wishes to King Charles III on his accession to the throne of the United Kingdom, wishing him success in leading the friendly British people.


On his part, King Charles III expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for his noble sentiments, wishing His Majesty good health and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.


His Majesty was accompanied by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court. — ONA
