London: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is organizing a campaign showcasing Oman’s tourism landmarks to the British and German public.

The campaign, which runs till September 16, covers major cities like London, Munich and Frankfurt. It is an extension of similar drives undertaken by the ministry in India and elsewhere to utilize global tourism indicators’ bouncing back to normal after Covid-19 pandemic.

The campaign also lends support to the State of Qatar’s efforts to organize World Cup 2022 and celebrate this region’s hosting of the international event by promoting Oman and its capital as key destinations for the world cup’s public audience.

The campaign began with workshops and seminars organized in London for representatives of top tourism and hospitality firms, tour operators and travel agents. A second workshop was held on Tuesday in Manchester, with the campaign scheduled to relocate to Germany, where a workshop will be held on September 15 in Munich. The city of Frankfurt will host the final workshop on September 16.
