LONDON: Asyad Express, part of Asyad Group, has entered a strategic partnership with Evri, the UK's largest e-commerce delivery company.

The partnership aims to explore strategic collaboration in terms of setting up a regional courier express parcel (CEP) network serving the Middle East through Evri/Asyad Express and partner networks.

The partnership seeks to develop a unique value proposition serving Oman and select Middle East countries from the UK, Europe and US markets, using Asyad Group network capability and infrastructure.

Commenting on the importance of this strategic partnership for Oman, Nasser bin Ahmed al Sharji, CEO of Oman Post & Asyad Express, said, “This important partnership is in line with our extensive efforts to position Oman as a global logistics hub by tapping into a pool of more than 2 billion potential e-commerce customers and providing global access to the GCC through our extensive sea, road and air networks.”

“This agreement provides local and regional traders access to key European and American markets through Evri's expansive network. It also connects Evri's clients with the Asian and Middle East markets through leveraging Asyad's world-class logistics services and its network, covering more than 220 destinations globally,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of Evri, John Sansby, Director of International Network & Partnership Development, stated, “We’re excited to start this collaboration and believe that using the Evri Global e-commerce network will support the capability build of both networks in the UK, Middle East, US and Asian markets.

This partnership will give Oman and GCC regional cross border sellers, a ‘best in class’ global e-commerce delivery product. Our agreement with Asyad Express demonstrates our commitment to increasing Evri’s network and service capability growth in the Middle East region.” -- ONA
