Muscat: The Ministry of Economy’s special team for assessing and choosing priority development projects on Tuesday began its first seminar with various government units to highlight the new development projects submitted for 2023.

The seminar also aims to evaluate and choose priority projects throughout its eight-week long sessions. The Ministry of Economy prepared a matrix model for the assessment and picking of development projects which meet current and future needs in line with Oman Vision 2040, the 10th Five-year Development Plan (2021-2025) and national strategies.

The special team comprises representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Secretariat General of the Tender Board, the Ministry of Finance, Government Projects Management Office, the team of the National Programme for Fiscal Balance and departments concerned with each project. — ONA
