Muscat: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) organised the Oman-South Africa Business Forum in Muscat on Thursday.
The forum explored ways of enhancing investment and trade exchange, as well as means of developing partnerships between businesspersons from the two sides.
Oman-South Africa total trade exchange aggregated RO 40,065,000 by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
Working papers organised during the forum highlighted several features of Oman, namely the stable investment milieu, legal clarity and complete foreign business ownership, with no restrictions imposed on foreign transactions or income tax. A plus-point stressed during the forum is Oman’s openness to the world.
Meanwhile, B2B meetings were held between business representatives from both countries with a view to studying the prospects of further partnerships and cooperation. — ONA
