SALALAH: Publicly listed firm Salalah Mills announced the arrival of a cargo ship carrying 61,780 tonnes of Australian wheat. The shipment will boost the Sultanate of Oman’s wheat reserves.

Ahmed al Dhahab, CEO of Salalah Mills, said that, with the arrival of this shipment, the company’s total storage capacity stands at 200,000 tonnes. This amount will cover local market demand for more than 6 months and meet the company’s share in the local market for one full year.

In July 2022, the company received 66,000 tonnes of Australian wheat onboard another freighter, he added. - ONA
