

MUSCAT: The Science Technology and Innovation in Education (STAI) event has attracted school talents who showcased their scientific temperament with a range of innovative ideas and products.
The event was organised at Indian School Darsait under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman.
The event theme was ‘Ingenious creative mind’.
The chief guest, Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, Vice-Chancellor, National University of Science and Technology, inaugurated the event and said, “Out of the box thinking results in creativity.”
Mohammad al Adawi, Director of the Clubs and Sports Centre Department, graced the occasion as the guest of honour and Dr Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, BoD, presided over the function.
Subhra Priyadarshini, Chief Editor of Nature India, Springer Nature, participated in the event virtually. In her keynote address, she expressed how remarkable things could be achieved with keen sense of observation and learning from numerous things in nature. She also mentioned about students’ choice of opting careers as science journalists and communicators. The speech consisted of invaluable information that kept the audience engrossed and interested.
