MUSCAT: Two of Al Mouj Muscat’s sea tour operators have earned Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award status for the second and third years running, demonstrating their consistently high standards and the leisure destination’s ongoing success as a base for international marine tourism.
MolaMola Diving Center and Daymaniat Shells have each been awarded the accolades which place them in the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide, MolaMola for the third consecutive year and for Daymaniat Shells it is the second year it has achieved recognition. They are among 15 sea tour enterprises to be based at Al Mouj Marina, a 400-berth facility surrounded by luxury homes, from which residents, visitors and tourists can enjoy ocean-based adventures.
MolaMola offers daily snorkelling and diving trips to the nature reserves of the Daymaniat and Fahal islands, and this year they also received the PADI 5 Star Dive Center Award for the courses they run for novice and experienced divers. Daymaniat Shell’s experiences include dolphin and whale shark watching, snorkelling trips and sunset cruises as well as overnight camping and private charters.
The Sea of Oman is rich with an abundance of underwater life and all of Al Mouj’s marine tour operators (SMEs) provide safe and environmentally responsible trips matched by high standards of customer service. It is an ethos shared by Al Mouj Marina which is one of only four in the Gulf to have earned Five Gold Anchors which is a benchmark for quality of service, and it is the first to earn International Marine Cleanliness status.
Al Mouj Muscat was established in 2006 as Oman’s first integrated tourism complex and today it attracts around 4 million people a year, with marine leisure opportunities integral to the appeal and the sea tour SMEs able to capitalise on high daily footfall all year round.
