Basic services fully restored in South Batinah: NCEM

The head of the basic services sector at the National Committee for Emergency Management visited the affected areas in the Wilayats of Rustaq and Awabi in South Al Batinah Governorate on Friday and was briefed on the efforts made to restore services.


He said that electricity, water, sewage, communications, fuel, and waste management services have been fully restored in the affected areas.


He said that more than 95 percent of the affected asphalt roads have been fully repaired while work is underway to reopen a number of unpaved roads in the mountainous areas.

In the village of Ghashab in the Wilayat of Rustaq, officials were briefed on the efforts to fully restore the electricity, water, and sanitation sectors.


During his meeting with a number of citizens in Wadi Bani Awf in the Wilayat of Rustaq, the officials stressed that all field response teams in the basic services sector are working with their full capabilities to bring normalcy to the area.
