With more than 7,100 languages spoken in the world today, there is one language we can all speak fluently - fashion. It is a language that can be spoken without uttering a single word, making it complex, universal and all-embracing.

“It is an honor to be able to showcase my brand and ultimately represent Montenegrin fashion in Dubai, one of the fastest-rising fashion hotspots.” said Milena Djurdjic, founder and creative director of Milena Durdic Designerwear. “It is my first time in this beautiful, modern city and having to showcase my latest collection on an international scale for a charitable cause, is a step closer towards achieving my goal of taking the brand globally.” she added.

Milena recently showcased an 18-piece collection at a Charity Gala Event attended by H.E Sheikh Butti Bin Abdul Hakim Al Maktoum, Bollywood Superstar Urvashi Rautela and Emirati Public Figure Dr. Sara Almadani, amongst other VIP guests.

The collection featured romantic, feminine and delicate creations that are above all comfortable, attractive and functional and has an original approach to fashion.

Milena further commented: “We have combined Italian elegance and British style that is definite yet rebellious. One of the trademarks of our brand are multifunctional dresses that can be transformed and worn in many ways on different occasions - from simple daily variants to more formal ones.”

Milena Đurđić is a fashion designer at the Faculty of Design, Department of Fashion Design in Belgrade, and she also studied at the Accademia di costume e di moda in Rome. She held her first independent fashion show and collection in Montenegro in 2011, and to date she has created a total of 12 fashion collections with participation in over 20 fashion shows both in the country and abroad.
