Qatar's Mutaz Barshim clinched his third world title in a row, when he won the gold in the high jump competition at the 18th edition of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, USA.

Barshim managed his achievement by overcoming five hurdles in a row from the first attempt, the last of which was 2.37m.

It was ahead of South Korean Woo Sanghyuk, who with a distance of 2.35m won the silver medal, while the bronze was claimed by Ukrainian Andrey Protsenko, who gave his country the first medal in the tournament.
