The heir to the Spanish throne, 16-year-old Leonor and her 15-year-old sister Sofía have made their first official appearance abroad on behalf of the crown without their parents, who remained at home in Spain.
The two daughters of King Felipe and Queen Letizia watched Spain defeat Denmark at the Brentford Community Stadium in London on Saturday evening in the Women’s European Championship.
They were seen cheering the last-minute goal by Marta Cardona to deliver Spain a 1-0 victory. They were joined in the VIP stand by Spain’s Culture and Sports Minister Miquel Iceta, among others.
