

MUSCAT: The Oman Haj Mission returned home on Friday after it successfully concluded its services for pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman in the Holy Land. The mission was headed by Sultan bin Said al Hinai. Upon their arrival at Muscat International Airport, the members of the mission were received by of Shaikh Ahmed bin Saud al Siyabi,, Secretary-General at the office of the Sultanate of Oman's grand mufti, and a number of officials at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
The mission comprised the Ifta and religious guidance delegation, the administrative and financial delegation, the delegation supervising on Haj companies, the medical delegation, SAI delegation, Royal Oman Police (ROP) delegation, the media delegation and the scouts’ delegation. The number of Hajis (pilgrims) of the Sultanate of Oman for this year amounted to 8,338 including 200 residents and the number of companies authorised to organise Haj tours stood at 96 companies. The Haj mission left the Sultanate of Oman on June 25 , and during its presence in Mecca, Madinah and the holy sites, it served the Omani pilgrims and guests of Allah and supervised their performance of the rituals with ease. — ONA
