London: The Royal Air Force of Oman is participating in the International Air Show being held at Fairford Air Base in the United Kingdom from July 15 to 17. Royal Air Force of Oman's pavilion is displaying aircraft models, phases of development and modernisation in the Royal Air Force of Oman, photos of Omani-British aviation relations, and a model of an Omani tent that reflects civilisational heritage and the history of the Sultanate of Oman. The visitors to the pavilion will also get to see the performance of military band of Royal Air Force of Oman.


Brigadier General Yaqoub bin Rashid al Maamari said: "This is one of the most important international exhibitions in the world because it features advanced technology and participation from air forces of various countries. It is an opportunity to benefit from the experiences of others, in addition to strengthening Omani-British relations."



It is worth noting that the International Air Show is one of the largest military air exhibitions in the world, in terms of the number of aircraft and participating countries, and includes a group of participating military aircraft from different countries of the world, and more than 170,000 visitors participate in this event.


Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman, toured the Oman pavilion on Saturday. He was briefed on the latest developments in the field of aviation and exchange of experiences with the participating countries. He praised the efforts made by the organisers to highlight Sultanate of Oman in various international forums.


He was accompanied during his visit to the exhibition by Brigadier General Ahmed bin Ibrahim Ambosaidi, Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in London, and British Defence Attache in Muscat.
