MUSCAT: Oman Broadband Company signed an agreement for the installation of passive fiber optic infrastructure across Al Naseem Neighbourhood project – the first community neighbourhood of the Souroh Initiative launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

The agreement was signed by Oman Broadband Company Chairman Said bin Abdullah al Manzari, and Dr Thomas Alexander, CEO – Al Adrak Real Estate Development Company.

Under the agreement, Oman Broadband will provide fiber optic infrastructure services and enable residential neighborhoods to access high-speed communications services through service providers. Al Naseem, located in Barka, offers 1,051 housing units on an area of 355,000 square metres. (With inputs from ONA)
