The Tulip Inn Majan Salalah – the newest addition to Dhofar Governorate’s expanding portfolio of luxury properties – is set to formally open its doors on July 1, 2022.
Located on Samharam Street in the heart of the Salalah commercial district, the property’s opening ahead of the popular khareef holiday season is optimally timed to take advantage of the significant rush of holidaymakers who will be thronging this subtropical holiday destination from around the Sultanate of Oman and the wider Gulf and Middle East region. Considering that the current khareef is the first after a two-year suspension owing to the pandemic, Dhofar Governorate is expected to pull in larger than usual number of visitors this season.
The superbly furnished hotel, strategically located within distance of Salalah’s prominent landmarks, has been built with an investment of around RO 30 million. The owners are Muscat Overseas Group of Companies, although the property will be managed by the well-known international hospitality chain Tulip Inn. The latter chain currently oversees an expanding portfolio of hotels in the Sultanate of Oman.
The imposing hotel offers a total of 205 spacious rooms and suites catering to a diverse mix of individual business visitors as well as families. Kitchenettes are standard in all suites.
Public facilities include two swimming pools for adults and one for children, in addition to a spa, separate gyms for men and women, and a kids’ club. Complementing an all-day restaurant on the lobby level are a café, juice bar and lobby lounge.
As a business centre in its own right, Tulip Inn Majan Salalah also features a spacious conference hall that can seat up to 100 guests in different configurations. In addition, there is a three stylish boardrooms and a party hall as well.
In remarks to the Observer, Mark Abboud, General Manager, said the property has been designed and equipped to offer an “amazing guest experience”.
