MUSCAT: As part of supporting the local talents, Marafiq designed a Duqm local training programme for employment which was based on a selection process with identified criteria. Hence, Marafiq was able to attract Duqm local candidates who joined this programme.
Five candidates were selected to undergo the on-job training for 6 months with experienced employees and will be given opportunities to explore the full work cycle within their disciplines. The trainees are from technical and non-technical backgrounds and will undergo a performance evaluation at the end of the 6 months to determine their suitability for employment. Those who pass the performance evaluation will be offered an employment contract to further enhance their skills and talents.
The trainees will also be exposed to work-related day-to-day activities to enrich their knowledge and experience in Marafiq’s water and power operations.
This programme will benefit Duqm’s local trainees and Marafiq will do its best to continue supporting local talents.
