Oman, Japan hold official talks

Muscat: An official session of talks was held here on Tuesday between the foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and Japan.


During the session, the Omani side was headed by Mohammed Nasser al Wahaibi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, while the Japanese side was headed by Taro Honda, Parliamentary Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.


The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing them. They also exchanged views on several regional and international matters of common interest.


The firmness of the political and economic relations between Oman and Japan was reiterated by the two sides.


The two sides also expressed their joint keenness in promoting cooperation and partnership towards broader horizons in various economic and investment spheres.


The session was attended by Jota Yamamoto, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman.
