Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that health institutions on Tuesday began to provide vaccines for citizens and residents who have been accepted to perform the Haj this year (1443 /2022). This process will run through till July 3, 2022.

According to the requirements of the authorities concerned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the necessary vaccinations include Covid-19 vaccine (two doses of the vaccines approved in the Sultanate of Oman), the Quadric-vaccination against Meningococcal Meningitis (ACYW135) and the seasonal flu vaccine.

Therefore, MOH urges all citizens and residents who would like to perform Haj this year (1443 / 2022) to adhere to taking the vaccinations ten days prior to travel.

The above mentioned requirements are considered a prerequisite to entering the KSA to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard public health.
