The first phase of the project will include a family recreation place with parking facilities, an event area for activities, booths for selling food and beverages, restaurants, an extended walkway on the beach, and shaded sitting areas.

Phase two will focus on marine sports and adventure parks and play areas for children.

It is noteworthy that this site is one of the most prominent tourist sites in the Dhofar Governorate and is easily available from the Salalah city with signboards placed at all strategic locations.

Al Mughsail Beach's main attraction is the blowhole. Through an underground channel, seawater rushes in at high pressure and jets out in a geyser-like spout on the cliff. Corresponding with the force of the waves, the spouts can rise several meters high.

At the end of the beach begins a road which is indeed the most incredible engineering achievement of Oman as it cuts into the mountains and has 14 hairpin bends and takes the visitor to an elevation of 1100m at the top of the cliffs.
