With love, from Iran

Oman is her foster mother and her love for the country is incessant as it grows perpetually that she is continuously drawing the portraits Oman and Iran rulers.

Meet Iranian artist Nakisa Samadi who has created a collection of graphic artworks of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, inspired by his personality, and his love for his country and fellow beings.

“I’m truly touched by the efforts of the Sultanate in promoting peace and harmony al which have been recognised internationally. And as an artist, I’m so influenced by the charismatic leadership of the country that I draw paintings of Oman and portraits of the ruler,” said

Her brush and pallette first drew the then ruler, His Late Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said after a long study of the art and culture scenarios of Oman. Her works grab the royal interest in cultural matters and all her works are subtly conveying this message.

Nakisa uses a range of specialised graphic techniques and hyperrealism in her pursuit of art. She makes use of acrylics, patina and golden leaf, besides other media, over graphic images to create the collection on His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

“My aim is to express my admiration and devotion to the two towering personalities of the Sultanate of Oman,” she adds.

Her efforts bore fruits last year and for the first time, her works were exhibited in Oman. A two-day exhibition opened by Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija al Said was organised at Mysk by Shaza in Al Mouj Muscat aimed at shedding light on the diplomatic ties between Oman and Iran.

“The two friendly countries have enjoyed good neighbourly relations since many decades and we are grown with the strong bonds,” Nakisa said.

She has high regards for Omanis for their interest in art and culture, and their unified love and loyalty for their leader His Majesty Sultan Haitham.

“Their attention to art technique and style surprised me. Please accept my gratitude to all Omani people for their lovely reaction to my artworks.”
