MUSCAT: The first round of political consultation sessions was held here on Tuesday between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Austria.
The Omani side in the session was headed by Shaikh bin Khalifa al Harthy, the Foreign Ministry’s Under-Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Austrian side was headed by Gregor Koessler, Political Director of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and affirmed the two countries’ keenness in developing those relations in various fields. They also exchanged views on several regional and international matters of mutual interest.
The session also saw the participation of Christian Brunmayr, Ambassador of Austria to Oman, and several officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries. -- ONA
