Muscat: The Omani Journalists Association (OJA) strongly denounced the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by the Israeli occupation troops while performing her job and the shooting of her colleague Ali al Samoudi.

OJA holds the occupation forces accountable for targeting journalists and correspondents while demanding international organizations to take legal measures to ensure that justice is achieved based on the protection provided by international laws and norms and the respect and sanctity of the journalistic profession and providing journalists with safe working conditions to perform their duty and support their right to freedom of expression and delivering the facts.

OJA offered heart-felt condolences to the deceased's family and the entire journalists in the brotherly State of Palestine.
