Rain forecast in Oman’s north

Muscat: Oman’s Met Office said that the northern parts of Oman are forecast to witness advection of convective clouds over the next two days with chances of scattered rain and occasionally thundershowers on some parts of Al Hajar Mountains.


Al Hajar Mountains saw extensive formation of local clouds over the past days. Thunder showers of varying intensities associated with fresh wind and hail storm on vast areas of Al Hajar Mountain and the coastal strip.


Formation of local clouds and thundershowers are expected to continue amid pouring of convective clouds on the northern parts of Oman.


Rains of varying amounts fell on the Wilayat of Ibri accompanied by active wind and hailstorm mostly on the mountains. Heavy rain lashed Al Tiwi village in Ibri causing wadis to overflow.
