Muscat: In response to the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to answer a request made by the governments of the United Kingdom, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of India and Republic of the Philippines, to provide assistance in the release of 14 citizens who were detained in Yemen on various cases, the Sultanate of Oman coordinated with the relevant authorities in Sanaa who responded to these efforts.
Following communications with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to facilitate the issuance of the required permits, the detainees were transported on Sunday from Sanaa to Muscat via a RAFO aircraft prior to their return to their home countries.
