Sayyid Theyazin presides over Oman’s pavilion opening in Biennale Arte 2022

Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth presided over the opening ceremony of Oman’s pavilion in the 59th edition of the Biennale Arte 2022 International Arts Exhibition on Thursday.


The five-day event will be held in Venice, Italy from April 23 to 27, 2022.


The inaugural exhibition of the Sultanate of Oman's National Pavilion, which will run until November 27, under the title "Written Destinies," collects the works of three generations of Omani artists whose practice spans five decades of modern and contemporary visual art in the Sultanate.


The Sultanate of Oman aims from participating in this art exhibition to highlight the Omani culture locally and internationally and to bolster its cultural position. It also targets reflecting its approaches in achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040 in the cultural sphere, locally and internationally.


The number of visitors to the Biennale Arte averages 600,000 to 1 million visitors from all over the world each year and the event’s website views reach 10 million.


The event is covered by 8,100 international media entities, news agencies and international newspapers.
