Shura panel discusses investment legislations

Muscat: The Economic and Financial Committee of Majlis Ash’shura, held its 8th regular meeting of the third annual session (2021-2022), on Tuesday.


The committee discussed a number of expressed desires including amending the legislations and revising the procedures related to investment.


The expressed desire derives its importance from the fact that the business environment in Oman is facing many challenges pertaining to legislation, funding, and procedures.


The committee also discussed an expressed desire for setting a limit for expatriates’ remittances and conducting a study on to measure the negative impact of remittances on the national economy.
