BAHLA: The Al Soor Volunteer Team of Bahla Club organised an event to celebrate the night of Al Aqaba (the night of the middle of Ramadhan) at Bahla's famous market.
The event was attended by more than 150 children of different ages from Bahla and nearby places.
The event began with the reception of children in the market square after Tarawih prayers. The children were divided into two groups. Saleh al Abri led the first group of children which passed through the Bahla Heritage Market chanting and praying.
Ayman al Shukaili led the second group. His chants were heard throughout the Bahla market. The children walked behind him, saying Amen.
Traditional souqs, old alleys and ancient walls of the Bahla Heritage Market added a distinctive character to the event.
Khamis al Maslihi, Head of the Al Soor Volunteer Team, said: "Before the event, we coordinated with the sellers with the stores to participate in this event by distributing some gifts, sweets and some free coupons to the children which brought a special joy to the participating children.”
