The police indicated that nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries can use the ID card to enter the Sultanate of Oman through various ports, starting from March 30, 2022.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, also confirmed, "We will return to the system of using the ID card to move between the land ports of countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council. This has been agreed upon with the Inspector General of Police and Customs."
