The exhibition is accompanied by workshops and critical dialogue sessions by arts specialists from Sultan Qaboos University, College of Scientific Design, and the Ministry of Education. The applied workshops discuss several topics including relationship between creative thinking and the development of artistic skills of the arts supervisor; the investigation of art and its impact on developing the skills of supervisors and teachers; and the role of the arts supervisor in enriching the technical and educational aspects of teaching and specialised art exhibitions. These initiatives by the ministry are aimed at generating innovative artistic ideas and a healthy environment in which participating artists gain visual experiences, which helps them in refining their technical expertise and acquiring new skills.

In a statement Dr Sulaiman al Jamudi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, he said: “The exhibition is the first of its kind by our fellow supervisors and specialists in arts. It aims to highlight their skill aspects and exchange specialised technical expertise among them, in addition to spreading awareness of the importance of arts in society and emphasising the importance of the role of supervisors as an experienced artist and role model for teachers and students in arts.”
