Muscat: Dr Mahad Said Ba Owain, Minister of Labour received in his office on Monday Dr Ali Said Samikh al Marri, Minister of Labour in the State of Qatar and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing relations in various fields relating to the labour market, human resource development and other areas of cooperation.
The meeting also reviewed achievements made by the Ministry of Labour in the Sultanate of Oman in terms of the employment process in the public and private sectors, wage subsidy, labour care and training, as well as the stages of development in recruitment and localization rates in the public and private sectors.
The Qatari delegation was briefed on the Omani experience in the field of job localization, training and qualification, besides safety and occupational wellness.
The meeting was attended by the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Labour and a number of officials.
