The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD), in cooperation with the Public Prosecution and the Royal Omani Police (ROP) carried out a campaign to remove 10 structures set up illegally in different locations of the zone.

The drive was part of the continuing efforts of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) to investigate and unearth any unauthorised holdings set up within the SEZ and its affiliated areas. Legal action is initiated against those behind the illegal structures.

In a statement, OPAZ called upon all concerned to strictly eschew land grabs targeting government and public lands. Violators will be held to the full account of the law, it added.
