Negative PCR result not mandatory to enter Sultanate of Oman: SC

Muscat: The Supreme Committee tasked with handling the covid-19 pandemic on Monday has announced the following measures.



  1. Starting tomorrow, March 1, allow entry to the Sultanate of Oman for anyone who has taken two doses of vaccines approved in the Sultanate without the need for a negative PCR test result.

  2. Mandatory face masks only in closed spaces

  3. Allowing hotel establishments to operate at 100% of their capacity

  4. The committee also decided to resume a 100% regular attendance system in all academic levels, with a commitment to all precautionary health measures; starting Sunday, March 6, 2022.

  5. The Supreme Committee also decided that activities at halls, conferences, international exhibitions and other mass activities should continue to be held at 70% capacity provided that precautionary measures are adhered to.
