The team resumed the training sessions after a long absence due to the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sporting field.

“Two internal warm up camps were conducted during the last period after the stoppage of the team in the last two years due to the pandemic. During the initial domestic gathering, the focus was on the fitness and technical sides during both morning and evening sessions. The second preparatory camp saw the implementation of many attacking tactical sessions and executing different styles of playing,” coach Chuan said.

The experienced Malaysian coach affirmed that the target is to advance to the Men’s AHF Cup

The Oman Hockey Association (OHA) signed a contract with the Malaysian coach Chuan last December to lead the coaching staff of senior and junior teams. The 2022 Men’s AHF Cup Jakarta will be the first assignment for the former Singapore team coach.
