SALALAH: Fifty injured Yemenis have completed a medical and rehabilitation programme at the Arabian Prosthetics Centre (APC) in the Sultanate of Oman. The tenth batch of war-injured Yemenis got artificial limbs and training at the APC in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate.

The injured praised the humanitarian role provided by the Sultanate of Oman for the victims of the war in Yemen, appreciating the efforts of the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Rafat Yahia said she had recovered mobility with an artificial limb after receiving training at APC. She had her leg amputated above the knee in a landmine explosion in Al Jawf Governorate in Yemen in 2016. Ashraf Yahia had both his legs amputated in a landmine explosion in Hajjah Governorate. He suffered from mobility impairment and used a wheelchair for years before getting artificial limbs at APC. APC completed rehabilitation of 600 injured, including women and children over the past period all of whom had artificial limbs fitted using advanced prosthetic design.
