The Capital Market Authority (CMA) will host a seminar on the theme, “The Capital Market and its Financing Options to Enhance the Investment Activities”, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) at the offices of Port of Sohar on Tuesday.
The seminar, which is part of the awareness activities of the CMA, is targeting at the chairpersons of boards of directors and managements of the companies operating at Sohar Free Zone.
Speakers from the Capital Market Authority, Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX), Muscat Clearing Depository Company (MCD) and Ubhar Capital will take part in the seminar about the financing instruments available in the capital market in addition to highlighting the importance of the capital market in the economic growth of the companies as well as the role of MCD and its pivotal role in the capital market sector.
The seminar will emphasise the roles of the capital market in achieving the financial sustainability for the companies, the financing products available in the capital market and their use in the financial support of the companies and the advantage of financing by long-term debt instruments.
The CMA will organise this year series of seminars for the companies operating in the free zones in the various wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman to introduce the capital market and its financing instruments in line with the Oman Vision 2040.
