Muscat: Omani athlete Juhaina bint Hamad Al Khanjariya won second place and two silver medals in kata and kumite in the British Universities Karate Championship.

The event was organized by the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom on February 5 at the level of British universities and colleges, which saw the participation of many universities such as Cambridge University and the University of Manchester and other British universities and colleges.

Juhaina said the tournament was in preparation for one of the biggest tournaments in the UK known as BUCS.

It is worth noting that the player Juhaina al Khanjariya was trained by coach Nihad Jassim Kheitani and the coach of the Omani national team Ali Al-Shabibi in the Governorate of Muscat.

The player Juhaina says that she faced a lot of challenges and competition in this tournament, but by the grace of God the hard work has paid off. I dedicate these two medals to my country, Oman, and I will continue to train and work hard to achieve more results and make you all proud.
