

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) has said some commercial establishments, companies and social media accounts use the official logo of the Sultanate of Oman and the Royal Crown on various products without obtaining a license from the ministry.
The ministry said that it had seized such products that had the emblem of the Sultanate of Oman used without a license.
It clarified that the commercial use of the state emblem, the royal emblem, the Omani dagger, and the map of the Sultanate of Oman on various commercial products without obtaining the necessary approvals is a violation of the law.
The ministry alerted all commercial establishments and companies wishing to use the state’s logo in their products or advertisements to submit applications to the General Directorate of Commerce in the ministry or to one of the ministry’s directorates and departments in the governorates, Samples of those products or advertisements must be attached for necessary approvals.
