The new airport compliments the series of other local airports, which are planned in different parts of the country. This airport will definitely help nurturing the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, in particular and Al Wusta Governorate in general. It is really a commendable achievement indeed!
Thanks to the government for planning such great projects and appreciation extended to the bodies concerned for making these plans come true and bringing these airports to operation. Of course, Duqm Airport has played a significant role in promoting the economic zone globally as a distinct and perfect tourism and investment destination. Likewise, it facilitated bringing new foreign investments to the country. With the more projects and business opportunities to come up in Duqm, the new airport will serve as as a gateway to welcome and attract more local and international developments and businesses to that area. Therefore, all these potential opportunities will support Omanisation by bringing more job openings for nationals.

Furthermore, Duqm Airport will contribute in boosting economic diversification and tourism in that part of the country by attracting more visitors and tourists. Duqm has a rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and geographical variety of landmarks. The link between the sea and the desert further strengthens its image as an ideal destination for relaxation and tourism-related investments.
The pathway of development journey is spreading covering every corner of the country. It is now taking to a new route making a stop in the middle of the country. That place will be a new distinguished world-class hub for investment and tourism in the country and one of its kind in the region for its unique characteristics and advantages.
