Batinah Expressway to get new fuel stations

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Wednesday announced that steps are under way to get some integrated service stations working fully along Al Batinah Expressway within the course of this year. The scheduled operation begins with four sites (15,000 sqm to 30,000 sqm) in North Al Batinah Governorate, with two of the sites in the area of Al Hoor in the Wilayat of Al Suwaiq, one in the Wilayat of Saham’s Al Rowdha area and one in the New Liwa area, Wilayat of Liwa. The integrated service sites comprise, each, a fuel filling station, a public utility building (with restaurants, multiservice trade outlets, a hotel suite, a park, prayer areas for men and women, parking lots and other services that will activate tourism and economic activities. — ONA
