New power transmission plants in Dharihah start operations

Muscat: The Oman Electricity Transmission Company has completed the implementation and operation of a number of new electricity transmission stations in Ad Dhahirah Governorate, which will contribute to meeting the increasing demand for electric power in the governorate and enhancing the stability and reliability of the electrical network.


Among the projects that entered the main transmission network is the project to construct an electricity transmission station in Yanqul with a voltage of 132/33 KV and the associated transmission lines. The project consists of 8 gas circuit breakers, protection devices, communication and monitoring systems, and fire protection systems. The project cost is about 6 million rials.
